The vision for AIR Retreats came to life in Bali, where we hosted our very first retreat at the illustrious Aksari Resort Ubud. Nestled among lush rice terraces and tropical jungle, this retreat blended wellness, adventure, and celebration into one unforgettable week.

Arrival and Celebration

Before the journey even began, each guest received a beautifully curated AIR Retreats launch box, complete with a custom journal and other branded keepsakes designed to inspire reflection and capture memories throughout the retreat. From the moment our group arrived in Bali, the magic was undeniable. We opened with a special birthday celebration, a joyful beginning that set the tone for connection, laughter, and shared experiences.

Wellness and Renewal

One of the most memorable highlights was when we rented out the Bali Wellness Spa exclusively for our group. Surrounded by peace and beauty, each guest experienced massages, flower baths, and moments of reflection. This day perfectly captured our theme: to recharge, to breathe, and to live with renewed energy.

Adventure and Culture

The itinerary was designed to balance rest with exploration. We ventured to the Tegallalang Rice Terraces, soared on the famous Bali Swings, explored the Monkey Sanctuary, and shared meals overlooking breathtaking landscapes. A visit to a sacred temple gave us a glimpse into Bali’s spiritual traditions, while a hands-on cooking class introduced us to the rich flavors of Balinese cuisine. Each day carried its own rhythm of adventure, culture, and stillness.

Pura Vida in Costa Rica – Celebrating in Guanacaste

Our very first all-inclusive hosted trip took us to the RIU property in beautiful Guanacaste, Costa Rica, where we gathered to celebrate Devonte’s 30th birthday in true pura vida style.

The Celebration Begins

From the moment we arrived, the tropical setting and ocean breeze set the mood. Between lively resort fun and birthday festivities, we made the most of every moment, including a stop at the famous Monkey Bar, where playful howler monkeys reminded us we were deep in nature’s paradise.

Adventure in the Sky and on Land

No Costa Rican adventure is complete without a little adrenaline. We soared through the treetops while ziplining, then revved up the excitement with an ATV tour, riding rugged trails with views of mountains and jungle all around.

Catamaran Cruise

On Saturday we set sail on a catamaran cruise along the Pacific. Sun, sea, and celebration filled the day as we enjoyed the coastline, toasted Devonte’s birthday, and soaked in the magic of Costa Rica from the water.

Exploring La Fortuna

The journey continued with a day trip to La Fortuna, where we came face-to-face with Costa Rica’s natural wonders. We saw the mighty volcano, cooled off by the stunning La Fortuna waterfall, and took in the breathtaking scenery that makes this region world-renowned.

A Journey to Remember

From the jungles to the ocean, Costa Rica gave us adventure, laughter, and pure joy. This trip marked our first all-inclusive hosted experience, and it could not have been more special.

South African Summer – A Journey Across 4 Countries

Our South African Summer journey began in style with a welcome dinner at Saint in Sandton. Laughter, great food, and the energy of Johannesburg set the perfect tone for the adventure ahead.

Johannesburg & Soweto

The next day, MoAfrika Tours guided us through the vibrant township of Soweto. We walked the same streets that shaped history, heard stories of resilience, and experienced the spirit of South Africa in a way that was unforgettable.

Pilanesberg Safari

From the city, we ventured into the wild at Pilanesberg National Park. On safari, we witnessed elephants, giraffes, and lions roaming freely across the bushveld—a breathtaking reminder of Africa’s raw beauty.

Victoria Falls & Zambia

Flying north to Zimbabwe, Zambezi Safari Travels led us to the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls. The thunder of the water left us speechless. We even crossed the bridge into Zambia, adding another layer of adventure to this natural wonder.

Botswana

Chobe Game Drive

Our journey continued into Botswana, where we explored the Chobe River region. A game drive in Chobe National Park gave us up-close encounters with elephants, hippos, and an abundance of wildlife along the riverbanks.

Cape Town & the Winelands

Finally, we arrived in Cape Town, where African Macaw, led by our guide Roland, made every moment seamless. We rose above the city on Table Mountain, indulged in a vibrant evening at the Gold Restaurant, and savored world-class wines in the Cape Winelands.

A Journey to Remember

From a chic dinner in Sandton to game drives across borders, from thundering waterfalls to vineyard landscapes, this journey across four countries was an unforgettable blend of culture, history, and natural wonder.

Traveling with AIR: Dubai & Cairo Edition

We have arrived...

Our driver was waiting for us once we cleared customs, and we hit the road to our final destination. We opted to stay a little outside of the city, in a new part of Cairo where they are building an entirely new city. It was super luxurious and will be a sight to see once it’s completed in years to come. Here, we stayed off the beaten path at St. Regis Almasa, which was pretty much a destination within the destination.

Dinner on the Nile

After a great night of sleep in the most comfortable and plush bed EVER we were well rested and ready for our first excursion — a dinner cruise on the Nile, complete with belly dancing and other entertainment. It was the best event to kick off the trip. We smoked hookah, enjoyed some wine, had some tremendous native food and of course we all took our turn belly dancing.

The Pyramids of Giza & More...

The next day we had an all-day excursion planned to visit the pyramids. But what we didn’t know was that our excursion was going to entail a detailed history lesson from our guide Karim. Our tour guide Karim was everything! By the end of the tour we were calling him Cousin Karim! First, we went to Heaven Essence where we got a lesson on the aromatherapeutic properties of various oils you can only find in Egypt. Then we headed upstairs to what looked like an art gallery and learned about papyrus paper and how it can last for thousands of years. Then came the main event — the pyramids. It was the most exhilarating, fantastic experience. We were able to walk right up to them and Karim again came through with a history lesson. He told us how the pyramids were built with no machinery, the approximate weight of the limestone blocks and how the pyramids were constructed with love and admiration. But it didn’t end there. We took a camel ride through the Sahara to the Spinx, where we captured the most perfect pictures as the sun was setting. We rounded out the adventure with ATVs in the desert and EVEN MORE shopping to buy cartouches at the Golden Bird Bazaar .

Happy Birthday Dietrich!!

AIR planned an amazing flying dress photo shoot on Duo Pyramid Rooftop with Aurora's Flying Dress Egypt for all the ladies on the trip to celebrate one of our birthdays. The Aurora's Flying Dress Egypt provided the jewel-toned dresses, which we picked out in advance of the trip. We all felt like we were on an episode of Cairo’s Next Top Model! Lol. We had such a great time modeling for the camera! Of course, we ended the night with a rooftop dinner at Zeeyara Pyramids Elite with a perfect view of the pyramids.

To Dubai.....

Then it was time to head to Dubai. We hopped back on Emirates (YAY!) and were in Dubai in no time. Well, actually, 3 and half hours, but who’s counting when you’re going to one of the most opulent and striking cities in the world. We fast-tracked through customs, dropped our bags at the hotel and immediately hit the town! First, we had to refuel at Piccolo Mondo View. The food was excellent, plus we indulged in a bit of hookah. Then we hit the CLUB and partied until the sun came up! Instead of throwing out the rest of our MOET at the end of the night, we got a kick out of washing our hands in it! Yeah, we were feeling ourselves for sure! We were partied out and tired — but full of life! — when we hit the pillows in Dubai that night.

Rich Girl Energy!!

When we woke up, begrudgingly, it was time to hit the deck! AIR arranged for us to have a day out on a private yacht, complete with food, spirits, and great music. And the cherry on top was the included jet ski! You’re talking about about a day of fun in the sun in what looked like an adult playground. The sea was littered with yachts and jet skis, and we got to take in the intense skyline of Dubai as we sailed around the marina. Yes, we were certainly feeling like rich girls for a day!
